General characteristics of the species

Cephalopod mollusk. It has a cylindrical mantle, large head, large eyes and wide fins. It has a non-calcified internal shell, very narrow and transparent. The color is very variable, being usually pinkish white in the upper part of the mantle and has spots of red-orange color that resemble flames. It can reach a total length (mantle) of up to about 90 cm.
