General characteristics of the species
Cartilaginous fish. It has five gill openings on each side of the head. Inverted U-shaped mouth. Two dorsal fins, the first is large and tall and the second very small. It has a dark blue color, almost black on the back and flanks. The ventral area is white. It can reach a total length of up to about 2 m.
