General characteristics of the species
Cartilaginous fish. Deep-sea shark, dark brown in color. The tip of the snout is rounded and has a bulky bulge next to the buccal commissures. This species has benthic habits, occurring in deep waters, between 400 and 3765 m. It can reach a total length of up to about 1.20 m.
