General characteristics of the species

Crustacean of high commercial value. It lives in caves and rocky bottom cavities, between 5 and 200 m deep. It presents a rough body covered by protuberances, with a quadrangular carapace. The legs and antennae are bluish in color. The first abdominal segment has three dark spots, partially surrounded by a yellowish halo.
