General characteristics of the species
Bone fish. Wide-bodied, extremely flexible. The eyes are small and the scales are embedded in the skin. The body has a chocolate brown color, lighter in the belly and is profusely dotted with black, yellow and white spots. It occupies rocky cavities, in the infra-coastal area, between 15 and 50 meters deep. It can reach a total length of up to about 1.5 m.
