General characteristics of the species
Bone fish. Body laterally compressed, with large jaws. The lower lobe of the caudal fin is wider than the lower lobe. The lateral line is very close to the ventral area. It presents a dark blue color on the back, the flanks are silver, with a dark longitudinal band. It can reach a total length of up to about 70 cm.
