General characteristics of the species
Bone fish. The body is oval. It has a pink color, more intense on the back and is silver in the ventral area. The fins are reddish, and the tail has white edges (characteristic of the species). Depending on the size of this species, it is classified as snapper or parguete, depending on whether they are larger or smaller specimens, respectively. It can have a total length of up to about 90 cm.
