General characteristics of the species
Bone fish. The body is covered by rough scales. The head is triangular and pointed. It presents a brown color on the dorsum with numerous dark spots distributed by the flanks and 8 to 10 darker transverse bands. The belly is whitish. It can reach a total length of up to about 40 cm.
