Characteristics
Habitat: the Mediterranean moray usually occurs on rocky bottoms along coastal areas and around shallow seamounts at depths of up to 350 m.
Principal fishing methods: handline and bottom longline.
Biology: the maximum reported size for this species is 150 cm.
Conservation status: local stocks appear to be healthy
