Offshore Rockfish


Habitat: the Offshore rockfish occurs on the rocky bottoms at depths of between 100 and 400 m.

Principal fishing methods: handline and bottom longline.

Biology: the Offshore rockfish may reach a maximum reported size of 52 cm. This species is expected to have a minimum population doubling time of 14 years.

Conservation status: there is no immediate concern as to the status of this species.
